Pathway to Employment

The WoodView Project’s Pathway to Employment Programme, which provides young people with a structured and meaningful route into the world of work.

Our programme focuses on developing confidence, employability, and practical skills that support successful long-term outcomes. This includes:

  • Increasing self-confidence and building a positive sense of readiness for adulthood

  • Improving social interaction, communication, and the ability to work effectively with others

  • A dedicated opportunity to gain a CBT licence, and later progress towards achieving a full UK driver’s licence, fully supported and funded through the project

In addition, learners will have access to:

  • Accredited training courses, including safe use of tools, machinery, land-based equipment, and other practical skills relevant to our woodland environment

  • Hands-on vocational training, developing practical competence and confidence in real working conditions

  • The opportunity to work towards industry-recognised certificates, where appropriate

Vocational Skills Pathway

The Vocational Skills Programme at The WoodView Project provides young people with practical, hands-on experiences that help them develop the skills needed to succeed. Learners improve their ability to work effectively with others, strengthen problem-solving skills, and build confidence in their learning and performance. In addition, young people have the opportunity to work towards recognised awards such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award, St John First Aid certificates, Young Navigators Awards, and personal achievements. These experiences help learners gain valuable qualifications while developing resilience, teamwork, and the practical competencies required for future education, training, and employment.

Life skills Pathway

The Learning for Life Pathway at The WoodView Project provides a nurturing, safe, and caring environment where young people can grow in confidence and develop essential communication and personal interaction skills. Learners benefit from a bespoke, individually tailored curriculum designed around their needs, interests, and aspirations. Our dedicated and highly trained staff deliver learning in a young person-centred way, ensuring that every learner feels supported, understood, and empowered to make meaningful progress both socially and academically. This pathway helps young people build the foundations they need for increased independence, wellbeing, and future success.
